Hi guys,

I've got a rather old windows laptop and a relatively powerful mac book pro,

so i'd rather use my mac to acquire the data from a Carmine 1.09,

are you guys aware of any software for this running under Mac ?

I found a version of Skanect that runs natively under Mac, but in CPU mode, not GPU and i'm told it won't be that fast to use.

thanks for your feed-back

Hugues

Well, I am a PC guy ;)

The only link I found in this regard was OpenKinect: http://openkinect.org/wiki/Main_Page

Hi, I was looking for the same thing but it looks like there is not. Maybe using a virtual machine or parallel on OSX it may work... I do not know. What do you think?

hi,

if the Mac Version of Skanect http://skanect.com/files/skanect-1.4/skanect-1.4.0b2-macosx-x64.zip is not really working, then i'll try to run some other windows software using Play on Mac. But normally the performance of such software running like this are quite reduced, and i understand you do need a lot of graphical computation power for this kind of software to work nicely.

i'll post my results here soon, my Carmine 1.09 is about to arrive

You could use the new "ViewShape" feature to show your 3D models in this forums:
