Hi quangloi37,
you can use a DSLR with David Laserscanner as well. See for example this topic at the DAVID forum:
http://forum.david-3d.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=5708&p=27390&hilit=dslr#p27390An other limitation besides the camera is the resolution of the beamer, for example the Acer K11 has a native resolution of 858 x 600 (SVGA) and you can't see much more than you have projected.
So for structured light you need at least:
- a DAVID-Laserscanner Pro 3 Edition Software on a USB Flash Drive for 329,00 EUR incl. 19 % Tax excl.Shipping costs
- a Beamer ( You can use a used one too)
- a camera (I think you have one)
- your skills to built a calibration corner
- a mounting for camera and beamer
If that is to expensive to you you had to go with Photogrammetry (for example Agisoft PhotoScan standard edition):
For your sculptures you need 20 shots for every round. So with two rounds, some images from the top and foot you need aproximately 50 shots for scanning your smaller sculptures. If you have not the needed powerful computer you could choose one of those services provided in the Agisoft forum
http://www.agisoft.ru/forum/index.php?board=7.0 or you use the technique i have described in my post "Processing with Agisoft PhotoScan if you are short in RAM" (needs some improvement).
Hope it helps.
Karsten
