Post subject: | Introduction to the VirtuZoom Microscope 3D-Scanner |
The "VirtuZoom Microscope 3D-Scanner" is a tool that lets you create 3D-models of tiny objects (about the size of a 1 EUR cent coin). You can scale them up with any 3D-software you like and 3D-print them with any 3D-printer. You can use the scanner for educational purposes, to get natural structures like insects or shells into your 3D-designs, or just for fun ![]() ![]() Here is a little video about the scanner: http://www.youtube.com/embed/RRGgRTGLMZg The whole project is Open-Hardware which means that you can get all design files for free and use them in any way you like. However, you have to mention that you got them from http://www.virtumake.com You are also allowed to modify the design and improve the scanner. I would appreciate, if you share your new design with this forum. If you have any suggestions for improvement, please share them with us, so we can improve the official built of the VirtuZoom Microscope 3D-Scanner. |
