Sure, thanks!
Please feel free to let me know if you have any comments/feedback about this. We are not seeing the kind of traction we expected so we would like some feedback from some knowledgeable users.
Here are the main differences:
1- We use low-divergence green lasers, not red ones. The scan line is very thin and so the accuracy is much better than the usual low-cost alternatives (less than 2,000$ laser scanners). The lasers are 5mW so can capture darker stuff.
2- Our laser is servo mounted so we capture occlusions very well. Our camera/laser can go up and down through a linear drive.
3- Our turntable is 13-bit and with 0.1 degrees of accuracy compared to 0.45 degrees for competitors. That means we get 4 times as many slices.
4- We have an enclosure so you don't get light interfering with the laser (and vice versa).
5- We capture full color and full texture.
6- Our camera is real 5MP.
7- We made an effort to target towards "normal" users (e.g. people who have never used a 3D scanner or 3D printer before), so as to expand the market. The system is really easy to use.
Our price starts at 499$ which is pretty cheap relatively to others.
Here's the competitor comparison which we have on our KS page:
