DIY and Entry-Level 3D-Scanner Forum

Hey Guys, I’m a newbi here, I’m a mechanical engineer and have a little knowledge with computers but not so much with software.

I am trying to hook up my xbox Kinect to PC but I am running into the “camera not found” error.

Now from my hours of googling I have found that the Intel HD3000 graphics card (on board) will not work with this scanner.
Now I have the following motherboard: Intel Z68M USB3 http://www.asrock.com/MB/Intel/Z68MUSB3/index.asp and I have the feeling I can not upgrade this with a GeForce card to run the scanner.
Is this presumption correct?

If this is the case I will purchase a laptop to run the scanner and programs but
What is the laptops minimum hardware requirements?

I have added my computer specs to attachments

Can you guys PLEASE help me make the right selection?
